Our Heritage
The roots of our family vineyard run deep, planted with purpose in 2004. Our story intertwines with Armenia’s rich viticultural heritage through our connection to the historic Bambakashat experimental vineyard. Here, in the 1960s, renowned viticulturist Professor Suren Poghosyan achieved a groundbreaking cross between the Nerkeni and Muscat Rouge de Madera varieties, establishing a legacy that would later provide the foundation for our own vineyard’s exceptional rootstock. Today, our family continues to nurture these precious vines, driven by an unwavering passion for crafting exceptional wines. Each vintage celebrates both our region’s winemaking traditions and the distinctive character of the rare Karmrashat grape. Every bottle embodies our family’s dedication to excellence, offering wine enthusiasts a taste of Armenia’s unique viticultural heritage
Our Vineyard
Nestled in Armenia’s prestigious Armavir Region, our boutique 3-hectare vineyard showcases the perfect harmony between tradition and sustainable viticulture. The carefully selected terroir provides ideal growing conditions for our primary focus: the rare and coveted Karmrashat variety, complemented by select Muscat vines. Our commitment to quality begins in the vineyard, where we embrace sustainable farming practices that honor both the land and tradition. Come harvest time, each cluster is handpicked at optimal ripeness, ensuring only the finest grapes make their way into our limited-production wines. This meticulous attention to detail results in wines that truly express the unique characteristics of our Armenian terroir, offering connoisseurs an authentic taste of our region’s winemaking excellence.

Grape Varieties
Karmrashat
Karmrashat stands as a testament to Armenian viticultural innovation, born from the pioneering work of renowned Armenian viticulturists Surnen Pogosyan and S.S. Khachatryan in the 1960s. This unique grape variety emerged from a carefully planned crossing of two distinguished parent varieties: the noble Muscat Rouge de Madere (also known as Purple Muscat in the European Vitis database, with 23 documented synonyms) and the indigenous Armenian variety Nerkeni.
Initially cultivated across several hectares within the Institute of Viticulture’s experimental vineyards and industrial plots, Karmrashat represents a distinct chapter in Armenian winemaking history. Its genotype is unique, offering characteristics that set it apart in the world of viticulture. Despite its promising qualities, the variety remained largely confined to these experimental settings rather than achieving widespread cultivation, making it one of Armenia’s rare viticultural treasures.
This limited distribution has preserved Karmrashat’s status as an exclusive variety, offering wine enthusiasts a rare glimpse into Armenian viticulture’s innovative heritage. The variety stands as a living legacy of Armenia’s continued contribution to the world of wine, bridging traditional winemaking with modern grape breeding expertise.
Muscat
In the ancient vineyards of Armenia, where grapevines have flourished for millennia, the Armenian Muscat grape variety continues to captivate wine enthusiasts with its extraordinary character. Thriving in the country’s high-altitude terroir, where abundant sunshine meets dramatic temperature variations, this celebrated variety develops an intricate aromatic profile that sets it apart in the world of wine.
Each cluster of Armenian Muscat grapes captures the essence of its mountainous homeland, expressing delicate notes of jasmine, fresh rose petals, and citrus blossoms. This versatile variety yields both sophisticated dessert wines and crisp, aromatic table wines, each showcasing a harmonious blend of ripe apricot, fresh peach, and vibrant citrus flavors.
The perfect marriage of Armenia’s mineral-rich soils and traditional winemaking expertise results in wines of remarkable complexity and elegance. Every bottle of Armenian Muscat stands as a testament to the country’s 6,000-year-old viticultural heritage, offering wine enthusiasts an authentic taste of one of the world’s oldest wine-producing regions.
